Grid Ref: SW  394 293

Park in NT Carpark, at foot of Chapel Carn Brea. Grid Ref SW388 283. From car park take bridleway on other side of road, head east, do not take first track on left. Further paths on the left then lead up to the summit of the Castle site.

The castle is an iron age enclosure, whose circular earthen bank still remains on top of this broad hill. Much of the hill is covered with gorse and heather, with the remains of prehistoric settlement below. The picture above is the trig point in the middle of the castle. PAROW has cleared many of the tracks over this hill.
