Caer Bran Iron Age Hill Fort

The site is best accessed from the road that leads from Sancreed Church, towards St Just. You can park at a small lay-by next to Sancreed Beacon, and then walk along the road towards St Just, and after approximately 0.5 Miles turn left up a bridleway signed to Chycoles. Follow the bridleway up hill for three hundred yards and then turn left again onto a grass track. the Hill Fort is 100yrds ahead

The Iron Age Hill Fort at Caer Bran is a wonderful place to explore, with its well preserved Earth Works clearly visible, which enclose an area of 200ft in diameter. There are also panoramic views across Penwith and Mounts Bay. While much of the stone was removed from the site in the nineteenth century for building, there are still remains of several Bronze Age Cairns and a central stone building.
